Yerevan November 25 Armenpress - About $8 millions have been pledged in donations to Hayastan All-Armenian Fund in the November 25 All-Armenian annual Telethon in Los Angeles joined by Armenians in Americas Europe Russia Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh. The raised funds will be directed to implementation of a major development project for Nagorno-Karabakh region of Mardakert that was under Azeri occupation. The biggest contributions came from Louise Simon-Manoogian who donated $1 million a Moscow-based Armenian businessman Ara Abrahamian donated $250 000. Around $1.2 million were raised in Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh as much was raised in Europe. According to Hayastan Fund press office the lion s share of donations were made by ordinary Diaspora Armenians.
