“OSCE and International Cooperation in Answering the Armenian-Azerbaijan Conflict. Exploitation of National Interests and Group Interests.”
About the subject: The lecture analyses the capabilities for conflict in the south Caucasus beginning with geopolitical constellations inter-ethnic and inter-religious biases and ending with the asymmetric distribution of raw materials and other economic potentials. He deals with the role of the OSCE in finding a solution vor the existing conflicts in south Caucasus especially the Berg-Karabach conflict. Within these context the organisation and duties of the OSCE as well as prospects and prerequisites of cooperation between OSCE and other international organisation will be shown. The lecture addresses the political displacements in south Caucasus and the south-caucasian environment after September 11. Against this background all necessities and possibilities of exploitation of national as wells as group interests within the framework of OSCE conflict management will be discussed.
